Justin Erickson

Chief Executive Officer

Justin Erickson is an experienced leader in the wholesale distribution industry and currently serves as CEO. Justin has 20+ years of experience with Harbor, working hands on with customers and team members to ensure that Harbor is the best distribution company in the Northwest.

While at harbor Justin has served in nearly all aspects of the business including transportation, warehousing, merchandising, and sales.  Justin was promoted to Sales Manager and eventually became CEO in 2007.   In recent years Justin has developed an executive leadership team, encouraged the addition of outside directors and worked on the integration of five acquisitions. Currently Justin is actively involved in strategic planning, organizational development and meeting objectives that will ensure the long term success of his family’s company.  Justin is also a company shareholder, board member, and great grandson of the company’s founder.

Outside of work Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, skiing, swimming, running, cycling and being with friends. Justin is a member of Young Presidents Organization, American Wholesale Marketers Association Board Member, Washington Association of Neighborhood Stores Board Member, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of S.W. Washington Board Member. Justin has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Puget Sound and M.B.A. from Saint Martin’s University. Justin is also a Puget Sound Business Journal “40 under 40” award recipient.

Scott Erickson

Chief Operations Officer

Scott Erickson is the Chief Operating Officer and an Executive Team member for Harbor. As a family member, Scott brings over twenty years of business experience to the Harbor team, with knowledge and experience in several disciplines of the business. Over the last ten years, Scott has guided Harbor’s Operational and Technological Success. Implementing several programs and processes, Scott and his team have achieved significant productivity gains as well as significant increases in inventory accuracy. Such programs have been: WMS system for our warehousing efforts, routing software to maximize transportation efficiencies, performance pay based incentive programs for our warehouse staff and transportation staff, and Point of Delivery verification for our customers and transportation team. Beyond his operational successes, Scott is a keeper of our culture and a key leader of Harbor.

Scott has a B.A. in Business Administration, with a Major in Accounting and a Major in Finance from Washington State University. Scott spends his free time with his family and volunteering with several local youth programs. Scott is currently on the Board of Directors for a local youth sports league.

Mike Erickson

Chairman

Mike has over 40 years of experience at Harbor Wholesale leading the company from a small “mom and pop” business to the sizeable enterprise that Harbor is today. Mike’s career began at Harbor’s original location in Aberdeen, WA, with just a few employees. Mike was instrumental in the company’s 1985 move to Tumwater.  As leader of Harbor’s Sales and Marketing effort, Mike drove the expansion of Harbor’s distribution throughout Western Washington, capturing market share with superior customer service. Mike has worked in all facets of the business, successfully transitioning the small business into a professionally managed company. Today Mike serves as Chairman of the Board, sharing the values, culture, and vision with the company’s leadership. Mike works to ensure that the company’s strategic plan meets shareholder and family expectations. Mike Erickson is the son of Carl R. Erickson (deceased) and the grandson of Carl V. Erickson, the founder of Harbor Wholesale Grocery.

Outside of Work, Mike enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking, and spending time with this wife of 36 years. Mike also enjoys spending time with his 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Mike currently serves on the boards of WFI (Washington Food Industries) and PEER Marketing Association.

Ryan Peters

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Ryan is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Harbor Wholesale.  Ryan has 20+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry and is an accomplished leader with success in all aspects of sales, marketing and business development.  Ryan has a proven track record of increasing revenue and building great teams throughout the retail and distribution sectors.  Ryan has been instrumental in leading the Harbor Wholesale sales and marketing efforts and has increased revenue, built a winning team and created a culture centered on customer success.

Prior to joining the Harbor team, Ryan served as Director of Sales for a gourmet foods wholesaler where he focused on diversifying the customer base and increasing market share. Prior to, Ryan served in key leadership roles in Sales Management and Category Management for a Northwest grocery wholesaler.  Ryan began his career in the retail sector with a regional grocery store chain where he progressed to store management.

Ryan has a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Washington. He served on the steering committee to develop the Puget Sound Food Network which was founded to support sales and sustainability of locally produced products. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and pursuing sports and activities.

Jim Winkle

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jim brings over 15 years of accounting and financial management experience and expertise to Harbor Wholesale, with a broad background in the manufacturing, distribution, and foodservice industries.  In his role, Jim directs all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, lending/banking relationships, financial analysis, and monitoring of key company metrics and financial performance.

Prior to joining Harbor Wholesale, Jim held various challenging positions as Division Finance Manager for US Foods’ Northwest Division in Fife, WA, CFO/Controller for RAM Restaurants and Breweries headquartered in Lakewood, WA, and Controller and Corporate Accountant for Clear Springs Foods in Buhl, ID.   Jim also spent 10 years in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard prior to beginning his professional accounting/finance career.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boise State University.  Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, as well as riding his motorcycle, golfing, and fishing.  He has served on the board of several youth sports programs over the years and has been active in coaching youth baseball, football, and wrestling.

Cris Bade

Vice President of Operations

Cris has been with Harbor for 23 years. Cris has progressed in the company, gaining experience in all aspects of distribution. During Cris’ tenure with Harbor he has worked in and subsequently managed all inbound and outbound aspects of the business. Some of his accomplishments include increasing production run rates by 35% and reducing errors by 80%. Cris has been an integral member of the team in implementing efficient methods of operating. Prior to coming to Harbor Cris worked as a draftsmen and outside plant supervisor for Power-Tel Engineers. During that time he supervised the construction of buried telephone facilities and maintained quality and adherence to engineered plans and specs.

Cris attended Hawaii Pacific University and Washington State University, majoring in Business Administration. Cris has been involved in coaching youth sports and enjoys golf and riding motorcycles

Bryce Schneider

Director of Sales

Bryce is the Director of Sales for Harbor Wholesale where he helps customers develop strategies, increase sales, and improve profitability. He joined Harbor in 2002 and oversees the sales and merchandising team along with the productivity of customer-focused programs and customer development. Bryce has more than 17 years of sales and customer service experience, 14 of which have been with Harbor. Bryce’s career at Harbor has included many positions such as Sales Representative, Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Director of Sales. This has ensured the clear understanding of the food and beverage industry.

Previously, Bryce worked for a global electronic component distributor where he covered 3 states and was responsible for the key relationship development of many customers in which he increased the company’s sales and customer base each year. Bryce entered into his sales career as a loan officer and helped guide many borrowers through the complex process of home loan solutions.

Bryce and his wife love being with their three children and enjoy a strong family dynamic. He regularly attends his children’s sporting events and appreciates the opportunity to be a father and husband.

Dan Thompson

Director of Category Management and Purchasing

Dan has been with Harbor for 20+ years. Dan has progressed in the company, gaining a broad range of industry experience. During Dan's career with Harbor he has held management positions in Out Bound Distribution, Inventory Control, Procurement, Marketing, and Category Management. He has over 25 years of grocery retail and distribution experience. Dan serves on the steering committee and advisory panel for a number of national industry companies and organizations

Dan attended Grays Harbor College and Washington State University. Dan has been involved in coaching youth soccer for a number of years and enjoys golf and spending time with his family.
